WYSIWYG is an acronym for "What You See Is What You Get".

When a WordPress WYSIWYG editor or program is used to edit the content of a web page, you can instantly see the changes on your page.

That is why they are also called visual editors or a front-end page builders.

Before the invention of WYSIWYG editors, designing a web page meant writing thousands of complicated code by a skilled programmer.

Do these editors create WordPress pages and posts that are responsive to all devices - desktop, tablet and mobile?

Do these WordPress visual editors provide pre-built templates that can be easily customized?

Can I create a conversion-focused sales page with these editors to drive more conversions and sales?

Do these editors contain content elements like Text, Fonts, Images, Video, Tables, Columns, Quotes, Shortcodes, and others?

Do these editors provide conversion-focused elements like Lead Generation forms, Contact forms, Testimonials, and others?

Do these editors work with only with few particular WordPress themes or there are no theme dependencies?

Do these editors support adding third-party WordPress plugins to add more functionalities and features to a web page?

Are these editors easy to use or involve a bit of a learning curve?

Can these editors slow down my website affecting the core web vitals?

Answers to these challenges finally helped me to select the right editor that I will reveal in the next section.

In this article, we will try to address all the above questions and more to find the best WordPress WYSIWYG visual editors for your website. Before we dive into the best editors it is necessary to know whether you need them in the first place.

  1. I used Divi and Elementor, which are good and have weaknesses. Divi is more stable and reliable but does not have many options and the latest web design trends like Lottie animation. The best to start is Elementor since it is free and got many options. Divi is good for businesses that want a safe and robust corporate website editor.
