For a limited time, Designrr is offering the Standard Plan at a one-time payment of $27 instead of monthly payment of $29.
Canva User Interface
The user interface of Canva is very simplistic and easy to use. It has limited functionality and features in comparison to Designrr. All the design elements in Canva are neatly arranged on the left-hand side of the editor.
If you see the below screenshot carefully, you can see that Canva offers the following customization options to design an eBook:
- At the center of the interface, you can see your eBook template. To make any changes, you need to select the element present in the eBook. For example - text or images.
- The left-hand side of the editor interface consists of design features like - Templates, Elements, Uploads, Text, Styles, Background and more.

2. eBook Templates
Designrr eBook Templates
Designrr offers hundreds of pre-built eBook templates in the following categories - advertising, blogging, careers & recruitment, copywriting, digital marketing, e-commerce, education, finance, health & fitness, self-development and more.
Whatever may be your niche, you would be able to find a template for your eBook.
In Designrr you can preview your template in both the Web Version and PDF version. Not all the templates offered here are equally immersive, so, it is advised to preview templates and select the one that satisfy your requirement.
After selecting a template of your choice, you can easily edit it in the Designrr editor. With lots of customization features, Designrr lets you create a visually attractive eBook that will look appealing to your readers.
Since most of the templates are just basic in design, you'll need to work hard a little and put your imagination into work. For inspiration, you can visit the Amazon book store and check out the best sellers list to get the design idea for your eBook.
Canva eBook Templates
Canva also offers some limited eBook templates - both free and paid. If you're on the free plan, you can select from any of the given free templates. You can also choose the premium template and edit it but you need to pay for it before you can download it to your computer.
On the other hand, if you're already a premium account holder of Canva, you can choose any eBook template you may like and use it to design your eBook.
In comparison to Designrr, the templates offered by Canva looks more professional and attractive.
But the downside is that Canva doesn't offer much customization features if you compare it with Designrr.
However, if you don't want to spend money on Designrr, you can prefer to use the free templates from Canva to create your eBook.
3. eBook Formats
Designrr eBook Formats
Designrr supports multiple download options for your eBook - PDF, Kindle ePub, Mobi, Flipbook and more. Thus, if you want to distribute your eBook to different publishing platforms, you can download it in your preferred format.

In the below screenshot, you can see all the popular formats that you can use to download or publish your eBook.
You can even convert your eBook into an interactive and digital flipbook to create an experience for the reader that is more immersive and engaging than a traditional book.
Canva eBook Formats
Canva allows you to download your eBook in PDF and other image formats like JPEG & PNG. So, option to download eBooks as a flipbook or Kindle format is simply not there.
4. Ability to Import Content
Designrr has become hugely popular among content creators due its ability to repurpose already publish content on the web, from document files like MS Word, videos and more.
As of 2023, Designrr lets you import content from the following sources to create eBooks:
- Already published Blog Articles
- Content from MS Word or Google Docs
- Old PDF
- Videos published on YouTube
Thus, you don't have to create content for your eBook from scratch. For example, if you want to convert any of your blog article into eBook, you need to enter the URL of the blog post inside Designrr and click on Fetch.
Designrr also allows to enter multiple URL from different websites. Thus, you can easily combine content from different blog articles to create an eBook.

Which One to Choose - Designrr or Canva?
Now comes the important question...
Between Designrr and Canva, which one is the best eBook creator tool?
I have used both Designrr and Canva to create eBooks, so, here is my recommendation.
- If you're looking to create an eBook from scratch
- If you need to create eBooks in only PDF format
- If don't need much customization features in your eBook like Table of Content, Page Numbering, etc.
- If you want to create eBook from your already existing content in the form of blog articles, videos, old PDF and many other sources.
- If you need lots of customization features to enhance the readability of your eBook.
- If you need to distribute or sell eBooks across multiple platforms in different formats like PDF, ePub, Mobi or Kindle.
Since Designrr is a web-based software it is not dependent on importing content from WordPress only. It works on websites built on other popular platforms also like Squarespace, Shopify and Hubspot blog.
Another advantage of using Designrr is that it gives you multiple export options. For example, PDF, Kindle, iBooks (epub) and even HTML.
For a limited time, Designrr is offering the Standard Plan at a one-time payment of $27 instead of monthly payment of $29.
I hope this article is able to clear confusion between Designrr and Canva as an eBook creator software.
Canva is a pure graphic tool to create all kinds of graphic designs - eBooks, infographics, banners, social media posts, resume and more.
Whereas, Designrr is mainly created as an eBook making software. Don't forget to claim the life-time deal and get Designrr at a one-time fee of $27 only using the special link given below.
