How to Center an Image in Google Docs?
Here is the step-by-step method to center an image in Google Docs. Let's start with the first method.
Step 1: Insert an Image in Google Docs
First open a blank document by visiting the official Home Page of Google Docs - https://docs.google.com.
Now, click on Blank Document as shown in the below screenshot.
A blank document will open on the screen. Now, we will insert an image inside the document.
To insert an image, click on Insert from the top menu, then click on Image and finally click on Upload from computer (see the below screenshot).
In the given screenshot, you can see that we also have an option to upload image from web, Google Drive, Google Photos, By URL, and camera.
Now, select an image from your computer to add it to your document.
Please note that you can easily get free stock photos from sites like Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay, and more.
In the below screenshot, you can see that I have already added an image to my Google document.
Step 2: Center the Image Horizontally
To align the image at the center of your document horizontally, first you need to select your image.
Then click on the Align option from the tool bar at the top and choose Centre Align (see the below screenshot).
Alternatively, you can also select your image and press “Ctrl+Shift+E” to center align the image.
As you select the Center Align option, the selected image will be horizontally positioned at the center of your document (see the below screenshot).
That's it, by following simple steps, we have successfully positioned our image horizontally at the center of the document.

Step 3: Center the Image Horizontally and Vertically
First select your image, then click on Image options from the toolbar. It will open image properties at the right of your document.
Here, you can see that the Position option is currently disabled (see the below screenshot).
To enable the Position option, you need to select Behind Text option as shown in the below screenshot.
As you select the Behind Text option, the Position option on the left of your document will be enabled.
Now, click on Position and select the option - Fix position on page.
It will open Quick layouts. From here, you need to select Center option as shown in the below screenshot.
After selecting the Center option, your selected image will be place at the center of the document, both horizontally and vertically as shown below.
