Method 1: Using the Brandfetch App

Let’s start with the easiest method that has genuinely changed my workflow - Brandfetch.

Brandfetch Logo is an official Canva app that pulls real-time brand assets (like logos and colors) directly from company websites. Whether you’re designing social media posts, ads, or presentations, this app helps you stay consistent with brand identity and saves tons of time.

Here’s how you can use it step by step:

Step 1: Open Canva and Access Apps

  • Go to Canva and open any design.
  • On the left sidebar, click on “Apps”.
Open or Create a New Design in Canva

In the above screenshot, you can see that I have created a new design where I will add logos of companies like Apple, Microsoft, Tesla, Citigroup, and Siemens using the Brandfetch Logo app.

Step 2: Search for ‘Brandfetch’

  • In the search bar, type Brandfetch.
  • Click to open the app when it appears.

As shown in the above screenshot, type 'brandfetch' and press Enter.

Now, click the Brandfetch Logo from the given suggestion. See the screenshot below.

Select Brandfetch Logo

In Step 3, we will search for the logo using Brandfetch app and add it to our design.

Step 3: Enter the Brand’s Name or URL

  • You’ll see a search bar asking for the brand name or the URL.
  • Simply type the name of the brand or
  • Type the URL (website address) of the brand you want (for example, apple.com or nike.com).

Tip: Don't add www before the URL. Simply add the URL or website address without adding the www. Example - microsoft.com, oracle.com, americanexpress.com, and so on.

Type 'Apple.com' in Search

In the above screenshot, you can see that I have searched for the term 'apple.com' as I want a logo of Apple to be added to my design. After entering the URL or brand name, press the Enter key.

Step 4: Select and Add the Logo

After pressing the Enter key, you'll see the Apple logo as shown in the screenshot below.

  • Brandfetch will instantly fetch the brand’s logo, color palette, and other assets.
  • Click on the logo to add it to your Canva design.
Click Apple Logo

Now, resize the logo and position it where you want the logo to be.

Resize and Position Apple Logo

Similar, you can search for logos of other companies/brands. Below, I have searched for the logo of Microsoft and added it to my design on Canva.

Add Brand Logo in Canva using Brandfetch

That's it! Within seconds, you have a high-quality, official brand logo in your design - no manual downloading, no resizing, no pixelation. This is how you can find brand logo in Canva using the Brandfetch Logo app.

Personal Experience:

I remember when I was designing a comparison post for my blog, “Sellfy vs Gumroad.” Finding both logos in the right format took me nearly half an hour. Once I discovered Brandfetch, it became a 10-second task. Now, I use it for almost every project that involves brand visuals.

Method 2: Uploading Logos Manually

If Brandfetch doesn’t find a specific logo (it can happen with smaller or newer brands), you can always upload it manually.

Here’s how:

  • Go to the “Uploads” tab in Canva’s sidebar.
  • Click on “Upload files” and select the logo from your device.
  • Once uploaded, simply drag and drop it into your design.

Tip: Try to use transparent PNG logos whenever possible. It helps your design look cleaner and more professional without awkward white backgrounds.

Personal Tip:

I often keep a small folder on my desktop named “Client Logos.” Whenever I work with repeat clients, I already have their logos saved, which saves time for future projects.

Method 3. Using Canva’s Brand Kit (For Your Own Brand)

If you’re working on your own brand or a client’s brand consistently, Canva’s Brand Kit is a lifesaver.

Here’s what it lets you do:

  • Upload your brand logo(s) once.
  • Save brand colors and fonts for future use.
  • Automatically apply your brand elements to new designs with a single click.

To access it:

  • Go to the Home Dashboard → Click on “Brand” (under “Tools”).
  • Upload your logo and set your colors and fonts.

Once it’s saved, your logo will be easily available every time you design—no need to upload it again and again.

Personal Experience:

For my own blog, Technicalwall.com, and others, I have added my own logo and brand colors into Canva’s Brand Kit. It has made creating Pinterest graphics and blog headers incredibly consistent. I don’t have to worry about mismatched shades or fonts anymore—it’s all right there.

4. Using External Resources (When Brandfetch Isn’t Enough)

Sometimes, Brandfetch might not fetch the logo you’re looking for, especially for smaller startups or non-English websites. In such cases, try these trusted sites:

  • Brands of the World: A huge library of vector logos.
  • SeekLogo: Offers free downloads in PNG and SVG.
  • FreePngLogos: Great for transparent PNG logos.

After downloading the logo, just upload it into Canva using the “Uploads” tab as explained earlier.
